Evaluation of the Economy of the Selected Municipality

The bachelor’s thesis is devote to explaining keynotes of the economy of the municipality Domašov nad Bystřicí. It deals with the evalution of the economy of the town during period 2011-2015. The first part contains theoretical findings of the given subject. It clarifies the work of the public municipal units, describes the composing public budgets and defines incomes and outgoings. The analytic part evaluates the economy of the municipality in the years 2011 – 2015 with the aid of analyses. In the last part I occupy myself with suggestions for improvement the economy of the municipality.

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the economy of the Municipality of Kunžak between 2011 and 2015. The theoretical part gives an overview of the basic concepts involved, while the analytical part first introduces the municipality and then analyses its revenues and expenditures. An SWOT analysis was performed as well. Based on the obtained data, the thesis proceeds to suggest measures to improve the municipality’s economy in the future.

Focus of this bachelor thesis is on financial and economic efficiency of city Vyškov during years 2012 to 2016. Firstly, theoretical analysis states fundamental concepts concerning the local council. Secondly, the analytical section offers description of the city, analysis of approved and actual budgets and historical development of income, expenses and other key metrics. Lastly, based on the latter section, a set of policies that result in an increase of financial and economic efficiency as well as development of services offered to the public, are presented.

Municipal authorities within their delegated and autonomous power

The aim of this bachelor thesis wis to describe the municipality and municipal authorities within their delegated and autonomous power and to define basic terms associated with this topic. The thesis introduces the czech system of public administration to the reader and describes its history and development. The theoretical part of the thesis also describes the most important legal and economic aspects of the delegated and autonomous power of municipalities. The aim of the practical part was to focus on the municipality of Lišov, to describe the concrete municipal authorities and their performance of delegated and autonomous power for the observed period of the years 2010-2019, to describe the specific activities and their development over time. The thesis focuses on specific legal-economic aspects, such as concrete incomes and costs and analyzes their development.

The application of fairtrade products in selected areas of public

This diploma thesis is oriented primarily on fair trade and its application possibilities in selected areas of public administration in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of thesis deals with fair trade system, its principes, projects that are implemented to support it and specific examples of these projects. Finally, it is also mentioned the comodities, which are cultivated in fair trade certification. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey. A part of this research is a questionnaire, which was sent to the regional authorities of the Czech Republic and selected municipal authorities of the South Bohemian Region. The questionnaire focuses on the participation of these authorities in the fair trade system, the consumption of fair trade products in the office and finally the possibilities to participate in the "Fairtrade office" certification. The aim of the theses is find out a current involvment of regional authorities and municipal autorities of the South Bohemian region in the fair trade system, support of this system and posibble activities that are implemented to support it.

World from the point of view of the citizen in Early Modern Age

This diploma thesis covers the individual citizens' perception of suburban events in order to discuss the point of view of the early modern Czech citizen and their ability to gain information of the world around through the analysis of such suburban events that were registered in the chosen chronicles, originating between the years 1575-1600, a period that is considered "a golden age of the Czech cities". First, the background of the chroniclers is outlined, because it might have influenced the choice of events they decided to include in their works, i.e. the position of the concrete city, the level of education in the said period or the author's personal life. Second, the general knowledge of the authors is described in the thesis through the means of analysis of the type of recorded information (e.g. Turkish wars, the deaths of famous persons, wildfires, councils and the like). In other words, the thesis is to point out what type of information was considered to be the most interesting or extraordinary to the wider public, and which circles were usually covered by the chroniclers. The problematic aspects of financing of cities and minucipalities in the Czech Republic

In 2000, respectively 2003 the Czech Republic finished the first and the second stage of public administration reform, which is closely linked with the issue of public financing, especially the financing of municipalities. This thesis analyzes the problematic aspects of the financing of municipalities in the Czech Republic in terms of the status of municipalities in the political system. Municipal budgets are the means by which local governments fulfil their objectives, policies and ensure the development of their municipalities. It is a highly topical issue. Political leaders of local authorities are not due to play the differing roles and provide different level of public services, united in the opinion of the form of financing of local budgets. Municipalities do not have such a strong unified voice in ensuring its priorities. These different interests are reflected in the programs of political parties. The question of financing municipalities would probably disintegrated ODS and TOP 09 together with STAN in the coalition in cas of the absence of other contradictions.
